SECTION 1: "AND THE WINNERS ARE...."
After 12+ months of competition among 1,200+ individuals comprising over 250 teams across more than 70 countries, the finalist top 16 performing teams were organized into three levels:
“Level 1 - Highest Honors” - Out of the 16 finalist teams, the highest honors and largest cash prize allocation was awarded to “Level 1” team’s experiences. This is the highest percent allocation of the competition of the total prize purse given to those teams that stood out as the most comprehensive and complete experiences compared to all submissions. There were a total of 4 (of the 16 finalist teams) that fall into this prestigious category.
“Level 2 - Solid Contenders ” - Out of the 16 finalist teams, there was a cash prize awarded to “Level 2” team’s experiences. This is a percent allocation (between “Level 1” and “Level 3”) of the total prize purse given to those teams that made a viable and qualified effort for the competition, meeting most requirements, however these experiences were not as comprehensive relative to “Level 1” team submissions.
“Level 3 - Honorable Mentions" – Out of the 16 finalist teams, there are “Honorable Mentions” cash prizes awarded to “Level 3” team’s experiences. This is the smallest percent allocation given to those teams that made a viable and qualified effort for the competition, however only met the minimum requirements and experience relative to other team submissions.

SECTION 2: PRIZE EDUCATIONAL METRICS & IMPACT RESULTS
In this next section below we have provided demographic, engagement, and training metrics in terms of who participated, as well as how effective was this prize model to introduce Metaverse design and development technologies and training to a broader global community, while also exploring new innovative ways to build education, empathy, and awareness around the UN's 17 SDGs.
One of the primary objectives of this educational global prize competition was to teach new creative and technical design and development skills to learners from around the world. To do this, we created a weekly mentorship and training program that we offered to our community. Each week for the initial 6 months of the competition we would have a live meeting open to our entire global community in which we would provide training, including special guests/experts to share their insights on VR design.
These weekly training sessions were recorded and each training video was put in our community library website, ultimately providing a "MOOC" (Massive Open Online Courseware) for the community.
